Cookie policy

1. A consent cookie (cookie_preferences) — remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, for 365 days. This is the only cookie that is always set for every visitor, and only after you make a choice in the banner.

2. A session cookie (gifd_session) — set only if you sign in, to keep you signed in to My Reminders for up to 90 days. It's strictly necessary for a signed-in account to work, so it doesn't need your consent; it's HttpOnly (JavaScript can't read it), contains only a random session identifier, and is never used for tracking. It's deleted when you sign out or delete your account.

3. Google Analytics cookies — set only if you chose "Accept analytics". They help us see which gift guides people actually use. If you chose "Essential only", Google Analytics never loads and sets nothing.
